Epic Investment Services (Epic) is proud to announce that its entire property managed commercial office and industrial portfolio across Canada is now certified BOMA BEST. The certifications range from Certified – primarily for approximately 3 Million sq.ft. of industrial properties – to certified Silver and Gold for approximately 3.5 Million sq.ft. of office properties.

The BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) BEST (Building Environmental Standards) certification program is a Canadian industry standard that recognizes the excellence in energy and environmental management performance of commercial real estate.

The certification process began in early 2019 and required full cross-team effort between the property and sustainability teams to ensure that the properties met key criteria in the following areas: Energy, Water, Air, Comfort, Health and Wellness, Custodial, Purchasing, Waste, Site and Stakeholder Engagement.

Epic will continue to improve property operations in efforts to reduce its portfolio’s environmental impacts, to increase tenant comfort and to reduce utility costs which translates into cost savings for its tenants and creates returns on its clients’ investments.
